In this
quarter, we will turn our attention to the Old Testament for a series
of
lessons that are very relevant for us today.
We will study how best to live for God in
changing times, the importance
of community, and the value of tradition and wisdom.
We will first look at “Listening for God in
Changing Times”. These lessons drawn
primarily from the book of Judges, show us how the leaders of Israel
looked to
God during turbulent times.
Next,
we transition to “A Case Study in Community”, which is a series of
lessons
drawn primarily from the book of Ruth.
Ruth’s decision to live with Naomi had lasting
consequences in helping
to establish a community of servants of God.
Finally,
we will turn to “Teaching and Learning”.
These lessons, drawn from the book of Proverbs, give us examples of
wisdom handed down from generation to generation, from parent to child,
and
explore how that wisdom can have an impact on us today.

LORD,
WHEN…? Seasons of
waiting aren’t the end of the world.
Does
it
feel like God has pushed the pause button on your life? If you're
frustrated by
God's apparent slowness, don't assume that having to wait is a waste of
time.
God does some of his most important work in your life during these
divine
delays.
Many
of
the men and women of faith that we read about in the Bible had to
endure long,
difficult seasons of waiting before they could fulfill God's destiny
for their
lives. And just like these biblical heroes, you can learn how to see
what God
is doing - and how he is changing your life - while you're waiting.
Don't
miss out on the richness of this
God-ordained lag between catching a vision for your calling and seeing
God
fulfill it. No matter how long you have to wait, you can be transformed
as God
prepares you to fulfill your divine calling.

Learn about
God’s grace, truth, and redemption. Written by the apostle Paul for the
church
in Rome, this letter provides theological truths and practical
application for
the Christian faith and life.
In this book,
Paul is overjoyed to share his message of good news and eternal
salvation with
the church. Focusing on God’s
righteousness that comes by grace alone through faith in Christ, Romans
underscores that Christianity is more than just a doctrine—it is an
essential
roadmap for daily living.
